Uncertain Times

A globe being held aloft by disposable-gloved hands with a face mask around itI have been a little distant for the last few weeks since this horrible Covid-19 has spread globally and like everyone, I am I think in a state of either shock or denial that this is going on. But the sad reality is that this is happening, and has had a massive impact on the lives of everyone.

As a celebrant my heart goes out to all you couples who have spent months if not years planning your wedding or special occasion to have it postponed or cancelled, but we should not lose faith. We are all in this together, your venue, all your suppliers and your officiant, are all feeling the same. As much as it’s a real blow, a nightmare, that we all want to end…. it will, this virus will pass, certainly not weeks, maybe not months, but it will go, and in true British fashion we will pick ourselves up, wipe our tears, brush away the upset and start to re build our lives.

A heart held in cupped hands with a message to Thank all NHS and Care StaffWhen things do begin to get back to ‘normal’ and your plans start to come together there is one thing you can be certain of, and that is your celebrant, not restricted by time, place or licence you can be sure of flexibility and reliability. So rest assured lovely people you are not alone and you will have your day, and in the mean time take care, look after one another and remember true love will conquer all!
